Involvement & Leadership

The Alumni Executive Board leads the Alumni Association, working in partnership with the Alumni Office to strengthen relationships among alumni and deepen their connections to the School in meaningful ways.

To that end, the Alumni Executive Board relies on the expertise of class leaders, established councils, and committees whose members focus intently on constituent group engagement and make recommendations to the Alumni Executive Board.

We invite you to explore the many ways alumni may take on leadership roles.

Class Leaders

Alumni Class Leaders help forge connections between Lovett and their classmates. They serve as communications liaisons and extensions of the Alumni Executive Board and their school. They tell Lovett what is working well and what is missing from the alumni experience, shaping alumni outreach, programming, and reunions. They participate in and encourage philanthropy toward the True Blue Annual Fund. Lovett's most important philanthropic effort.

Want to become an Alumni Class Leader or True Blue Alumni Volunteer? Contact the Alumni Office at alumni@howtostopapuppyfrombiting.net.

Black Alumni Council

The Black Alumni Council is a group of Black alumni leaders who focus intently on the experience of Black alums and whose chair has a standing seat on the Alumni Association’s Executive Board. Its purpose is to design engagement and service opportunities for Lovett's Black and Multiracial alumni, students, and parents to help reinforce old relationships and forge new relationships with one another and within the Lovett community as a whole.  This includes stimulating intellectual and social participation, encouraging contributions to the school, supporting Lovett’s ongoing efforts to enhance diversity, and strengthening the bonds of understanding between the school and its Black alumni community.
